Methodology
PLANADVISER’s third annual survey of DCIO providers was conducted in April and May 2014. The survey questionnaire was sent to approximately 127 defined contribution investment only (DCIO) providers via an email invitation containing a link to the online form. For the purposes of this survey, we asked providers to list their total proprietary fund assets in defined contribution (DC) plans, including proprietary funds on a recordkeeper’s own platform, if applicable. The survey is for reference only and is not comprehensive of the entire DCIO industry, as some major providers chose not to participate.
