Eli Boussi

PLANADVISER: Tell us about your role at your firm and how you contribute to its growth and progress. How did you end up there?

Boussi: I am the senior vice president of retirement solutions at Rockefeller Capital Management, where I’ve been since 2021. I joined the firm to help build and expand our retirement solutions offering—designed to support a wide range of advisers, from wealth management generalists managing one or two plans to specialists overseeing 100 or more.

In my role, I lead the development and continuous enhancement of Rockefeller’s suite of retirement plan products and solutions. I also manage the day-to-day operations of our retirement program and work closely with private advisers to identify and cultivate corporate retirement plan opportunities.

Prior to joining Rockefeller, I spent eight years at UBS Financial Services in various roles, ultimately serving as an associate director in the retirement plan consulting group. There, I supported a select group of UBS financial advisers who specialized in retirement plans and institutional clients.

PLANADVISER: Have you had mentors or role models? Who are they and what lessons have you learned from them?

Boussi: Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to have several influential mentors, and Marc Caras—my current manager—is certainly one of them. From Day 1 at Rockefeller, Marc has taken me under his wing, generously sharing the insights he’s gained over 30 years in the industry. He entrusted me with meaningful responsibilities early on, including leading business development initiatives and participating in client prospect calls and finals presentations. His trust and support have been both empowering and motivating. I’ve carried many of the lessons Marc has taught me—especially the importance of empowering others—into my own leadership approach as I manage and develop my team.

PLANADVISER: What are you most passionate about outside of the office?

Boussi: Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends. My wife and I have been married for 10 years, and we’re proud parents to three wonderful children. I’m passionate about basketball—both playing and coaching—and I volunteer as a youth basketball coach in our community. I currently coach my son’s 1st grade team and look forward to coaching my younger children as they grow.
