Jennifer Sahady
PLANADVISER: Tell us about your role at your firm and how you contribute to its growth and progress. How did you end up there?
Sahady: My role at Marsh McLennan Agency is to educate and support employers seeking to provide best-in-class financial wellness to their employees. I also manage client relationships and provide coaching sessions directly to our clients’ employees.
When I joined in 2021, our regional team had fewer than 20 clients, and now we have more than 150. I’ve enjoyed the challenge of our explosive growth, personally taking on more than 50 client relationships and building out a team and systems to support our book.
PLANADVISER: Where do you hope to take your career in the retirement plan or advisory industry in coming years?
Sahady: My goal is for financial wellness solutions to be as common as retirement plans as an employee benefit. It’s a bold goal, but one I’m dedicated to. In the last four years, I’ve held thousands of coaching sessions with hundreds of participants, helping them plan and save their way to financial success. Knowing the importance and the impact of this education help solidified my resolve to extend the reach of financial wellness even further.
PLANADVISER: What have you done that you are most proud of at work?
Sahady: There is so much to be proud of and grateful for: growing such a strong and prosperous business, winning awards with and for our clients for dedication to financial wellness, and building an incredible team. Above all, I’m proud of the lives I’ve touched in this role, helping people who were once burdened with debt become debt-free and build wealth instead of debt. I’ve helped people develop the savings and stability to support them through job loss and financial setbacks. I’ve helped those who felt confused and overwhelmed become empowered and confident. The feeling is indescribable.
