Fugate: As an account executive at Newfront Retirement Services, I manage a diverse portfolio of client relationships, ensuring seamless plan implementation and ongoing service excellence. My path to Newfront was driven by my interest in solutions-focused advisory work and my appreciation for the firm’s commitment to innovation. I contribute to Newfront’s growth by streamlining plan administration processes, identifying opportunities for operational efficiency and supporting cross-functional teams. My solution-oriented mindset helps clients navigate complex regulatory landscapes, enabling them to achieve their retirement plan goals while supporting Newfront’s reputation for reliability, responsiveness and client retention.


PLANADVISER: What steps do you think will help improve the retirement industry and participant outcomes in the future (particularly ways in which your firm can help with that progress)?

Fugate: The future of the retirement industry will be shaped by strategic plan design, advanced technology integration and individualized client service. Newfront is at the forefront of using technology to simplify administrative tasks, enhance transparency and provide robust reporting. By leveraging data analytics, we help clients make informed decisions about plan health and cost efficiencies. PLANADVISER: What have you done that you are most proud of at work? Personally?

Fugate: I am particularly proud of leading a project that automated several manual administrative processes for our clients, reducing errors and turnaround time while improving client satisfaction scores. This initiative not only strengthened client relationships but also showcased Newfront’s capability for innovation and adaptability. On a personal level, I’m proud of my dedication to professional development, having earned key industry credentials that underscore my expertise in retirement plan services.
