Introducing the 2019 PLANADVISER Top 100 Retirement Plan Advisers List

This list includes advisers who reach the top of their respective peer groups in terms of assets under advisement or number of retirement plan clients, including defined contribution, defined benefit and nonqualified plans.

Each year, the “PLANADVISER Top 100 Retirement Plan Advisers” list is compiled from responses to the most recent PLANADVISER Retirement Plan Adviser Survey.

The list is drawn solely from a set of quantitative variables and information in the survey supplied by the advisers themselves. For an adviser to be eligible for recognition in this year’s Top 100, he had to submit a completed entry to our 2018 Retirement Plan Adviser Survey, which was fielded this past September. A sub-segment of the questions was used to determine eligibility for the 2019 Top 100.

Ascensus has restructured its Elite Advisor Program to enable advisers to offer plan sponsors an even higher level of personalized service and to better grow their retirement practices.

All Elite Advisors are paired with dedicated strategic account managers and receive personalized guidance from Ascensus’ team of Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) attorneys. The strategic account managers discuss best practices with the advisers and provide updates on new services and technology enhancements so that the advisers can provide better service to their plan sponsor clients. The managers also ensure that the advisers are up-to-date on the health of their plans and that their clients are receiving the best possible support.
