Wells Fargo Funds Management serves as the adviser to the Wells Fargo Advantage Funds, among other functions. The firm says it will leverage Cohen’s sales leadership skills and expertise in the defined contribution investment only (DCIO) and registered investment adviser (RIA) spaces to “help us make even deeper inroads into two of the industry’s fastest-growing market segments.”
Most recently, Cohen worked as executive director of J.P. Morgan’s national accounts team for defined contribution investment services. Beyond that role, Cohen has more than 20 years of experience in the asset management industry. Prior to J.P. Morgan, he ran the bundled retirement business at DWS Investments, a part of Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management, and built out the DCIO practice at DB Advisors.
Cohen says he looks forward to working with at Wells Fargo, because they have “the pieces in place to provide financial advisers and plan sponsors with the investments and practice-management resources they need to best serve their clients.”
