CAPTRUST Establishes Missouri Office

CAPTRUST Financial Advisors, an independent retirement plan advisory network, announced the opening of a new office in Columbia, Missouri, and the hiring of two financial advisers.

John Weber joins CAPTRUST as a vice president and financial adviser focused on providing retirement plan advisory services to corporate fiduciaries. Sean Weber, an adviser and relationship manager, will provide wealth management and retirement advisory services to high-net-worth investors, private foundations and executives. John Weber and Sean Weber are father and son. 

John Weber initially joined CAPTRUST in a consulting capacity related to the firm’s acquisition of Freedom One Financial Group last year. Before the acquisition, he served as a client relationship manager for Freedom One clients in the Midwest. He joins CAPTRUST with more than 25 years of industry experience.

Sean Weber comes to CAPTRUST from AXA, where he served as a registered wealth management representative.

The firm also recently announced the acquisition of Minneapolis-based DCAdvisors.

TIAA-CREF Launches Website for Retirement Plan Sponsors

TIAA-CREF launched PlanFocus, a new website for retirement plan sponsors.

The firm says the site helps both plan sponsors and plan advisers/consultants manage and optimize plan operations, drive outcomes and engage employees.

Other features include enhanced transactional capabilities, easy access to forms and educational resources for plan sponsors and their participants.
