PLANADVISER: Tell us about your role at your firm and how you contribute to its growth and progress.
Sneed: As a client executive, I serve as a trusted partner to plan sponsors, delivering proactive, high-impact support that strengthens long-term client relationships and drives measurable results. Operating in an expanding market, I play a critical role in elevating our firm’s presence while balancing client stewardship with strategic growth initiatives.
I actively contribute to business development efforts by supporting RFP responses, participating in finalist presentations and engaging prospective clients with a clear, compelling articulation of our value. On the client side, I am deeply focused on retention and experience leading comprehensive plan reviews, coordinating cross-functional service delivery and ensuring clients feel informed, confident and consistently supported.
Beyond client-facing responsibilities, I invest in the growth of our team. As our market scales, I mentor and develop new associates—sharing best practices, building technical confidence and fostering a culture of collaboration. Through this combination of client leadership, revenue generation and team development, I help drive both the stability and sustained growth of our organization, positioning our firm as a valued partner in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
PLANADVISER: What motivates you to stay in the retirement/advisory industry?
Sneed: I’m motivated by the impact I can make at the plan level and for individual participants. One avenue that allows me to directly influence plan and participant outcomes is through serving on our 3(38) committee, a meaningful responsibility. Knowing that the decisions we make can strengthen long‑term outcomes for thousands of participants is what keeps the work purposeful.
What also keeps me in this industry is the sense of momentum and progress. There’s always an opportunity to improve plan design, enhance participant experiences and help organizations support their employees in more meaningful ways. I enjoy solving problems, building strategie, and seeing the tangible results of our work. That combination of influence, impact and continuous improvement is what keeps me committed to this field.
PLANADVISER: What advice would you give to someone entering the industry today?
Sneed: Focus on building strong relationships early. This industry is built on trust, collaboration and partnerships. Invest time in getting to know colleagues, mentors and industry partners. The support system you build around you will be just as important as the technical knowledge you gain.
At the same time, commit to developing solid technical fundamentals so you can confidently contribute to conversations and client needs—be that trusted partner. Stay curious, ask questions and seek out people who are willing to share their experience.
Most importantly, remember that you don’t have to navigate the industry alone. Surround yourself with people who challenge you, support you and help you grow. Your network will become one of your greatest assets.
