Ascensus Revamps Adviser Proposal

Ascensus said it unveiled a 2010 proposal for financial advisers selling its plans.

The retirement plan solutions provider said the proposal provides clear points about the company’s open-architecture investment platform, participant education programs, and technology solutions for plan management. It also discusses Ascensus’ ability to offer tailored plan design options based on an organization’s size, demographics, and objectives, the company said.

Ascensus said the new proposal can be customized to illustrate either the full-service model or a third-party administrator (TPA) for compliance-only services.

Reports Offer B/D Insights for Investment Managers

Strategic Insight, an Asset International company, and Coates Analytics, are collaborating on a series of quarterly reports to help investment management firms navigate the broker/dealer (B/D) marketplace.

The firms said each quarterly report offers more than 40 pages of sales ideas, views about the evolving national B/D distribution opportunities, and analysis of exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

Highlights of the Q3 report, according to the firms, include:

  • how investor demand is evolving differently post-crisis via fee-based and commission-based platforms within national B/Ds;
  • how those distinctions affected the fastest growing investment styles within each platform structure during Q3;
  • and how financial advisers at national B/Ds are using ETFs.
