Alerus Launches Mobile App for Participants

Alerus Retirement Solutions, a division of Alerus Financial, introduced a mobile application for retirement plan participants.

Available for both iPhone and Android devices, the app allows retirement plan participants to receive fast and secure inquiry access to their Plan Gateway account information.  Participants can view account activity, current balance by investment and source, rate of return and recent contribution information.  

The app also sends personalized alerts about account events regarding contributions, loans and market changes.

TD Ameritrade Names Managing Director of Institutional Sales

Peter Dorsey has been named managing director of institutional sales for TD Ameritrade Institutional, a division of TD Ameritrade Inc.

Dorsey will oversee all institutional sales functions including adviser recruitment, practice management consulting, relationship management and sales strategy for TD Ameritrade. He replaces Tom Nally, who was recently named president of TD Ameritrade Institutional.   

Dorsey has been with TD Ameritrade Institutional for more than seven years, most recently serving as director of sales, where he was responsible for the oversight and management of TD Ameritrade Institutional’s business development activities within the Western region of the United States. He has been working in the institutional field, specifically with independent registered investment advisers (RIAs) for nearly 15 years. Before joining TD Ameritrade, he served in similar roles in banking and brokerage industries.

Dorsey received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from St. Anselm College and a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management. He also holds FINRA series 7, 63 and 24 licenses.
