Fidelity Launches iPhone Trading App
Fidelity Investments has developed an application that will allow
investors to place stock, option, exchange-traded fund (ETF), or mutual
fund trades via an iPhone or iPod touch.
Reported by Nevin E. Adams
With the new app, customers can also access their Fidelity account information and watch lists; stay updated on domestic and world markets via up-to-the-minute news; receive real-time quotes; and compare the performance of multiple stocks all on one screen with interactive charting capabilities.
According to the announcement, the Fidelity app is one more way to take advantage of the new $7.95 online U.S. equity commissions announced earlier this month, and customers using the new app can trade with free commissions 25 broad domestic equity, international and fixed-income iShares ETFs.
The new mobile app is available starting today via a free download from the App Store on the iPhone and iPod touch, or at www.itunes.com/appstore.
