ThriveOn Adds Two Benefits Education Modules

ThriveOn, Inc., has added Open Enrollment and New Hire Training modules to its online Benefits Learning Center solution.

According to a press release, each module provides a central online destination to access multimedia benefits education.

The Open Enrollment module details benefits changes for the upcoming plan year, offers customized checklists of items to be completed, and links to enrollment resources. The New Hire Training module educates new employees about their total compensation package, benefits enrollment procedures, and orientation-related topics, the company said.

The announcement said the modules incorporate social media trends and also offer polls, ratings, and other features to promote shared learning.=

MassMutual Beefs Up West Coast Sales Presence

MassMutual has tapped Joel Almeida to undertake a new sales role focused on Southern California and Hawaii.

Almeida assumed the new sales and business development post on Monday.

Almeida will partner with managing director, Francesca Messano, to provide additional support to third-party distribution relationships and MassMutual career agents, according to a MassMutual news release. He reports to Tanya Jones, Western divisional sales manager, MassMutual Retirement Services Division.

Almeida brings more than 19 years of financial services experience to his new role, according to MassMutual. He was most recently employed by Principal Financial Group as director of business development.

Prior to that, he served as managing director for FMC Financial Group, a MassMutual affiliate.
