3D Asset Management Promotes Three

 

Sheryl O'Connor, Lauren Handville and Thomas O'Connor received promotions at 3D Asset Management.  

 

The firm named Sheryl O’Connor chief operating officer, a newly created position. O’Connor will oversee all middle- and back-office operations for the firm’s growing group of retirement plan lines in addition to her former responsibilities of overseeing the Turnkey Asset Management line of business.

O’Connor served as manager of operations for the firm since its inception in 2006. She has folded in relationships with key retirement plan partners including Ascensus, Cambridge Retirement Solutions, Mid Atlantic Capital Group and Verisight.

“Sheryl has been an integral member of our executive team,” said John O’Connor, the firm’s president. “Her expertise with the management of our operations across all lines of business will become even more critical as our company expands through new initiatives and distribution channels.”

Lauren Handville succeeds O’Connor in the position of operations manager, a promotion from her former position of operation analyst. Handville will report to O’Connor and manage the staff and activities in the firm’s middle and back office.

Handville has been with 3D since 2010.

In a second newly created position, the firm named Thomas O’Connor director of management information services. O’Connor joined the firm in 2009 as an investment analyst.

O’Connor will be responsible for the firm’s data management, communications technology, CRM customization and network services. He is a member of the firm’s investment management team.

O’Connor manages the systems that track investment performance and reporting. He also and provides performance and attribution data to industry databases such as eVestment Alliance, Informa Investment Solutions and Morningstar.

“Tom has positioned 3D to be very competitive by leveraging the latest cloud computing technology such as our CRM, Salesforce.com and our document management system, NetDocuments,” said Vince Leon, VP and national sales manager.

 

 

UBS Adds to Real Estate Business Team

Thomas Klugherz was hired as portfolio and client services officer by the U.S. real estate business of UBS Global Asset Management.

Klugherz has 25 years of experience working in various capacities for advisers to large pension plans and institutions. His previous experience includes acquisitions, asset management, portfolio management and day-to-day operations of several investment managers.     

During his career he has been directly involved in sourcing, underwriting and managing more than $10 billion of institutional grade investments across the U.S. Klugherz has worked directly with existing and prospective separate account and fund clients to analyze their portfolios and formulate investment strategies.

UBS Global Asset Management Real Estate – US provides a range of real estate investment management services in a variety of investment vehicles including commingled funds and individual client accounts.
