Charles Schwab has created a Twitter account specifically designed for independent registered investment advisers (RIAs).

Nicole Bliman
The account name (or “handle,” as it’s referred to in the Twitter-sphere) is @Schwab4RIAs.
The account will post news and insights relevant to RIAs, such as practice management tips and resources, technology updates and best practices, industry insights, expert commentary, and information about Schwab’s events for advisers.
Twitter and other social media sites were discussed at the PLANADVISER National Conference last month. See “PANC 2010: Technology and the Modern Adviser.”
