Newport Names Two Regional Directors
Robert Dolan and Steven Silverman have been tapped as regional directors of The Newport Group, the company announced.

A news release said the two will develop business relationships and identify market opportunities for Newport’s retirement plan administration and investment services to third-party intermediaries. Both will report to Dennis Sain, Newport’s senior vice president, Qualified Retirement Services.
Prior to joining Newport, Dolan was vice president and sales director, qualified plans, for Bank of America. In that role, he was responsible for institutional investment, pension, and 401(k) sales. Previously, he held sales leadership positions with Wachovia and Prudential. Dolan will be based in Boston.
Silverman was most recently vice president and institutional sales officer for Fifth Third Bank, marketing defined benefit and defined contribution plans as well as providing investment management and consulting services. He will be based in Cincinnati.
