National Planning Appoints VP of Practice Management

National Planning Corporation Inc. (NPC) named Randy Miller first vice president and director of practice management.

Miller will oversee the Pursuit Program, a platform that offers customized practice management coaching and consulting for the firm’s advisers. He has more than 13 years of experience in financial services, starting as a financial adviser with Prudential Securities. Miller has held regional vice president positions with Jackson National Life Insurance and with Genworth Financial, and was the director of a dedicated wealth advisory group with MetLife Investors.

Miller joined NPC in 2009 as vice president and practice management consultant, a role he held until 2011. After this, Miller was vice president of sales for a startup in the hospitality industry.

Miller will work in NPC’s headquarters in Santa Monica, California, and report to Lynn Niedermeier, the firm’s president and chief executive.

Miller is a Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Life Underwriter, and holds a California insurance license. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law. He also holds Series 7, 24 and 63 securities registrations.

He replaces Jim Komoszewski, who has joined Investment Centers of America in practice management.
