Morgan Stanley Smith Barney Promotes Two to Sales and Product Posts
Morgan Stanley Smith Barney’s Consulting Group has named Marc J. Brookman as director of Sales and Thomas Butler as head of Products and Platform Development.

The firm said both men will report to James J. Tracy, director of Consulting Group.
Brookman has headed Consulting Group’s Product and Platform Development since 2007. Prior to joining Consulting Group, he headed Retirement Services at Citigroup Asset Management, where he built a sales and service model that leveraged multiple Citigroup distribution segments.
In addition to his new role, Butler will continue as director of Business Management and Operations of Consulting Group, a position he has held for two years.
Previously, he served as COO of Global Wealth Management Investments and Private Bank Investments for Citi. Before that, he was Chief Operating Officer of Citi’s global Non-Profit and Government Entities unit.
