Great-West Adds More Wholesalers

Great-West Retirement Services said it has hired six more internal wholesalers to boost the support it provides its external sales force and their financial adviser and third-party administrator (TPA) distributors.

The six individuals join the eight internal wholesaler new hires announced last August (see “Great-West Beefs Up Wholesaler Ratios”), making the internal wholesaler team total 25 people. Great-West Retirement Services said each internal wholesaler is assigned to a regional sales director to support in cultivating relationships with financial advisers and TPAs.

The new internal wholesalers are: Lisa Baca (New Jersey), Ron Grieve (Florida, Indiana, Mississippi), Sarah Melius (Florida, Georgia, South Carolina), Jackson Petefish (Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee), Marc Rowe (Arkansas, Oklahoma, Southern California), Amy Ungles (Iowa, Minnesota).

ING Wins Minnesota Retirement Plan Business

ING Institutional Plan Services Group will be the administrator for Minnesota's 457 deferred compensation plan.

ING also will provide administration for the State Health Care Savings Plan, the Unclassified Employees Retirement Plan, and the Hennepin County Supplemental Retirement Plan. According to a press release, ING will provide complete administration for all four plans, which have about 140,000 participants and $3.9 billion in assets.

Services will also include self-directed brokerage, online investment advice, and managed account services to participants in the 457 plan.
