Former UBS Advisers Set Up RIA in Mississippi
Three former UBS wealth advisers have formed Mississippi Investment Management Company, LLC (MIMCO), a registered investment adviser (RIA) serving both affluent and institutional investors.
Reported by Ellie Behling
The firm, based in Jackson, Mississippi, is led by Tom Bertaut, Chris Carrico, Bill Whitney (all of whom used to work at UBS), and Forbes Watson. Each will contribute specialized expertise in key areas of investing, including investment management, analysis of macro trends about industries, equities, and fixed-income, according to the firm. MIMCO will also offer a proprietary program to assist with fundamental and qualitative individual stock analysis.
The firm selected Pershing Advisor Solutions, an affiliate of Pershing LLC, for its clearing and custody.
More information about the firm is available at www.mymimco.com.
