United Planners Adds Matrix Plan Data Feed Service

United Planners added the Matrix plan data feed service to the United Planners Retirement Platform.

The service, which is part of the newly launched Matrix Broker/Dealer Solutions Suite, is provided by Matrix Financial Solutions, a Broadridge Financial Solutions Inc. company.

The Matrix Broker/Dealer Platform, an integrated retirement planning suite, includes the plan data feed service, level compensation services and adviser desktop applications.

“We are excited about this new relationship and the business opportunities it will offer not only United Planners but our third-party administrator (TPA) customers as well,” said John Moody, president of Matrix. “We believe our broker/dealer platform will support United Planners in its effort to continue to grow its retirement business in an increasingly regulated environment and provide increased visibility and tighter controls.”

OneAmerica Teams with Edward Jones

More than 12,000 Edward Jones advisers can offer OneAmerica’s 401(k) and 403(b) plans, the companies said in an announcement about the new alliance.

The companies of OneAmerica announced a distribution affiliation with Edward Jones that will allow thousands of potential new business clients to access OneAmerica’s capabilities. Beginning immediately, Edward Jones advisers can begin offering employer clients the 401(k) and 403(b) plan designs and recordkeeping services of American United Life Insurance Company Inc., a OneAmerica company.

Peter Welsh, vice president of product and business strategy for retirement business at OneAmerica, cited local service, customization and fiduciary support as key factors in the firm’s success.

According to Ed O’Neal, principal in retirement plan marketing for Edward Jones, the quality of the company’s strategic partners is crucial to providing products, services and solutions to help advisers serve the needs of plan sponsors.
