Loring Ward Hires Director of Strategic Relations

Scott Lamb will work with Loring Ward's broker/dealers and provide value-added solutions to help advisers better serve their clients. 

As Director of Strategic Relations, Lamb will develop programs and tools to support the transition of advisers’ practices to a fee-only basis and assist them in developing more consistent advisory processes, such as Loring Ward’s “Life First” Discovery Process.

“[Lamb’s] track record of helping advisers realize efficiencies in their practices is a perfect fit with our shared focus on helping advisers improve their practices and build stronger client relationships,” said Loring Ward’s Director of Advisor Relations, Steven J. Atkinson.

Prior to joining Loring Ward, Lamb was a vice president at LPL Financial, where he worked with advisers to evaluate their business models and business needs.  Lamb has also worked as a financial adviser at Merrill Lynch.

Acadian Unveils Emerging Markets Offering

Acadian Asset Management LLC has launched the Acadian Emerging Markets Debt Fund, a series of the Advisor’s Inner Circle Fund Series Trust. (AEMDX).

Acadian said it believes the growing convergence between emerging and developed countries along several key metrics should offer long-term benefits to investors in emerging market debt. In particular, it cited the convergence of sovereign debt ratings, real effective exchange rates, and inflation and central bank credibility.

The Acadian Emerging Markets Debt Fund will be managed by John Peta and L. Bryan Carter who joined the firm in April, 2007. Acadian’s approach combines fundamental analysis, focusing on the determinants of economic growth, with quantitative research.
