Transamerica Appoints Southern Regional Vice President

Transamerica Retirement Services has hired Linda Kurz as regional vice president in the company’s Southern Region.

Kurz will be based in Gainesville, Virginia, and will oversee all sales and distribution activities in Virginia. She will report to Steven Dunlap, Transamerica’s divisional vice president for the Southern Region.    

Kurz has nearly 20 years of professional experience in the retirement industry, Transamerica said.

She joins Transamerica from ING Financial Advisors, she was responsible for sales and marketing of qualified retirement plans through financial advisers and third party administrators (TPAs) for more than seven years. Kurz most recently served as a regional vice president for ING Financial Advisors, having also served as a regional sales director and regional director of client relations.

ProFunds Names New Distribution Director

ProFunds Group has tapped Donald Roberson as managing director, Distribution.

In this new role, Roberson will oversee all distribution channels for ProShares ETFs and ProFunds mutual funds. He reports to Michael L. Sapir, Chairman and CEO of ProShare Advisors LLC and ProFund Advisors LLC.

Prior to joining ProFunds Group, Roberson served as senior vice president and head of Distribution for the Employer Markets Group at Lincoln Financial Group in Philadelphia. In this role, he was part of Lincoln’s Corporate Leadership Group, setting strategic direction for distribution, product development, and marketing and branding, according to the announcement.

Previously at Lincoln, Roberson was head of Distribution for wirehouses and regional broker/dealers, and prior to joining Lincoln Financial Group, he was senior vice president, director of distribution for Managed Accounts at John Hancock/Independence Investments.
