Towers Watson Turns to DeMeo as Investment Exec

Towers Watson has named Chris DeMeo head of investment for North America.

A news release said DeMeo, based in New York, is responsible for Towers Watson’s investment advisory business in the United States and Canada. He reports to Carl Hess, Towers Watson’s global head of investment.

Prior to joining Towers Watson in 2008, DeMeo was Director of Investment Strategy for Russell Investments, where he led the Strategy Implementation team for Russell’s North America Institutional Investment group. He and his team delivered advice, recommendations and implementation strategies to a wide range of Institutional clients.

DeMeo has also worked as Director of Retirement Capital solutions at Merrill Lynch and Vice President, Global Structured Products, at Bank of America. Previously, DeMeo spent five years as a consultant at the former Towers Perrin (now Towers Watson).

He received his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Philosophy from Syracuse University

AUL Retirement Services Adopts Advent Software

The retirement services division of American United Life Insurance Company (AUL) announced today that it will offer Advent Custodial Data (ACD) to its advisers.  

Advent Custodial Data (ACD), Advent Software’s custodial data aggregation service, will be available to registered investment advisers (RIA) in AUL’s distribution network. Specifically, AUL will provide daily feeds to Advent, allowing RIA’s who use Advent’s industry-standard software to more efficiently and actively manage the accounts of their clients.

AUL is the founding member of OneAmerica and offers products and services for retirement plans of individuals and employers, focusing on the 401(k), 403(b) and 457 markets.
