Towers Watson Names Two Consulting Leaders

Towers Watson appointed two consulting leaders.

Brian Makuck, Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), will serve as leader of international consulting for U.S. East and Canada.

Makuck has 30 years of multinational consulting experience and will be responsible for overseeing Towers Watson’s consulting on global benefits, human resources and financing issues.

Previously Makuck was the southern region practice leader for Aon Hewitt. He also led Hewitt’s International practice in North America before the Aon Hewitt merger.

Michael Broomhead will serve as leader of sales and marketing for North America. He has worked for Towers Watson since 1997. He has consulted with multinational companies on a range of global benefit and compensation issues.

 

Callan Adds SVP to Fund Sponsor Consulting Group

Callan hired John P. Jackson as a senior vice president in the Fund Sponsor Consulting Group.

 

Jackson, who is based in Chicago, will consult with large public and corporate defined benefit (DB) plans. He reports to Kevin Dolsen, head of Callan’s Chicago Fund Sponsor Consulting office.

Before joining Callan, Jackson served as a director and senior consultant with the Asset Consulting Group, where he worked with investment boards and committees and senior investment officers of public, insurance, and not-for-profit institutions. Jackson served as principal, vice president and senior consultant at DeMarche Associates. He also served as a vice president at The Northern Trust Company.

Jackson earned his bachelor’s in political science from the University of Illinois, his master’s in business administration from Washington University in St. Louis and his Juris Doctorate from the Washington University School of Law. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and belongs to the CFA Society in Chicago and CFA Institute.
