T. Rowe Price Expands AI Leadership Roles
The firm announced new leadership responsibilities for its heads of artificial intelligence across its investment, distribution and risk functions.
T. Rowe Price Group Inc. announced today the expansion of various artificial intelligence teams and leadership roles.
Within its investments business, T. Rowe Price is expanding its Investment AI Solutions organization to oversee AI-related products, employee education, strategic partnerships and research.
Vinit Agrawal, head of investment data insights and AI solutions, will oversee the investment side of the firm’s AI strategy, including AI products, education, partnerships and research efforts.
Sal Dhanani, head of global distribution AI strategy and transformation, will lead AI initiatives within the firm’s distribution business, focusing on client-facing applications and related technology projects. Global distribution also includes a team focused on client-facing applications of AI—such as client experience, employee capabilities and technology initiatives—and working across business units to identify and implement AI use cases.
Mathieu Lorentz, head of T. Rowe Price Labs, the firm’s AI research and development group, will oversee the evaluation of emerging technologies, the development of AI prototypes and the deployment of AI tools. The lab operates within the engineering organization led by Chris LePre, head of AI engineering and application development.
Prabhakar Bhogaraju, T. Rowe Price’s head of enterprise AI modeling and technology risk, will oversee AI governance, risk management and regulatory compliance efforts. He will report to Ted Carter, the company’s chief risk officer.
