Neuberger Berman Names Senior Vice President

Brian Layton has been appointed senior vice president and head of Neuberger Berman’s Boston-based wealth management group.  

Layton joined Neuberger Berman from Bernstein Global Wealth Management, a division of AllianceBernstein, where he served as a senior private client wealth adviser. He reports to Terry Riordan, regional director of Neuberger Berman wealth management in Chicago.

Layton will lead the Boston wealth management efforts with a team that serves individuals, family offices, foundations and pension plans. Layton joined Neuberger Berman on October 24 and replaced Chris Biotti, who left the firm.

Before serving at Bernstein Global Wealth Management, Layton co-founded Broadleaf Services, an information technology services company in Burlington, Massachusetts. Earlier, he was a founding management team member and vice president of THINQ Learning Solutions, an e-learning company ultimately acquired by SABA. Layton was co-founder and executive vice president at Passkey.com, a SAS technology services company in Waltham, Massachusetts. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Richmond.

Neuberger Berman is a private, independent, employee-controlled investment manager.
