Mellon Appoints Regional Institutional Sales Director

Mellon Capital Management Corporation named G. Kent Fleming as director of institutional sales for the northeastern United States.

Fleming, who is based in Boston for this new position, reports to Sheryl Linck, managing director, head of North American business development for Mellon Capital.

Fleming was previously director of business development and investor relations for Belltower Advisors, a hedge fund and wealth management firm. Before that, he was a principal and product portfolio manager for Smith Breeden Associates, where he managed the absolute return strategy business and several institutional client relationships.

Fleming received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara and his master’s from the NYU Stern School of Business.
