Lowe Gets SSgA Global Equities Post

State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) has tapped Alistair "Ali" Lowe as global equities chief investment officer.

The company said Lowe assumes his new role from Arlene Rockefeller, who is retiring from SSgA after almost 30 years with the firm.

In his new position, Lowe will direct SSgA’s active and enhanced equity teams globally in the development and management of quantitative active and enhanced equity strategies. Lowe, who previously served as the CIO for Multi Asset Class Solutions, will report to Rick Lacaille, global chief investment officer.  Dan Farley has been named global head of investments for Multi Asset Class Solutions, replacing Lowe, the company said.

Lowe joined SSgA in 1996 and has also served as head of currency and as head of the Investor Solutions group, which specializes in tax-efficient management and implementation of active equity strategies.

Farley has extensive investment experience and has been with SSgA for 18 years, most recently as head of the US Multi Asset Class Solutions team.

ING Adds Hart to TPA Team

Steven Hart has joined the Third Party Administrator (TPA) Sales and Support Strategy team for ING U.S. Retirement Services.

Effective June 1, Hart serves as manager for the Midwest region, based outside Chicago, according to ING.

Hart comes to ING with over 15 years of relationship management and development experience in the retirement plan business, with a specific focus on the TPA channel.   Recent positions included sales leadership roles with ExpertPlan, John Hancock, and Prudential Retirement.

Hart is one of seven TPA regional managers, along with three dedicated TPA support specialists, that report to Ralph DelSesto , head of ING’s TPA Sales and Support Strategy team.
