Kania Tapped for Sentinel Financial Post

David A. Kania has joined Sentinel Financial Services Company Retirement and Subadvisory team as vice president and regional retirement director.

Sentinel Investments announced that Kania will be responsible for supporting the Montpelier, Vermont-based Sentinel’s overall defined contribution investment-only (DCIO) effort, focused primarily on developing and supporting consultant relationships. He will report to Peter Hebert, senior vice president and director.

Kania joins Sentinel from American Beacon Advisors in Forth Worth, Texas, where as vice president, he was involved in developing the firm’s institutional fund business. Prior to that role, he was director, Institutional Markets for Transamerica Investment Management in Los Angeles. Kania’s earlier positions in developing institutional business were with Dana Investment Advisors, Berger Financial Group, Manulife Financial, and CIGNA Retirement Services.
