JPMAM Hires Head of National Accounts

J.P. Morgan Asset Management has hired Matthew Mintzer as head of National Accounts and leader of the Defined Contribution (DC) Advisor Team for the company's Defined Contribution Investment Solutions (DCIS) team.

Mintzer will oversee the DC Client Associate team responsible for generating sales, retaining assets, and cultivating relationships with retirement advisers who specialize in the sale of retirement plans to the large, mid, and small plan segments. He will also manage the Platform Client Associate team responsible for the platform relationships of the DC recordkeepers in the related market segments.   

Based in New York, Mintzer will report to John Galateria, Head of DCIS (see “Galateria Takes JPAM DCIS Reins from Musto“). 

Mintzer joins the company from AllianceBernstein, where he held a number of senior roles, including head of Retirement Partner Strategy and head of Advisor Sales for Retirement. Prior to his tenure at AB, he was director of retirement products at Putnam Investments, where he was responsible for product development and marketing of Putnam’s retirement platform, including IRAs and full service 401(k) programs. He also held sales and client service positions at Delaware Investments and a consulting role at DALBAR.
