J.P. Morgan Appoints Managing Director

J.P. Morgan Asset Management hired Richard Gray as managing director and institutional client adviser.

He will be based in New York and will focus on developing and managing relationships with large-market public and corporate clients.

Gray was most recently a managing director at Ramius, LLC—the global alternative investment management business of Cowen Group—where he was responsible for business development and client relationship management for hedge fund investors, as well as product management for internally managed hedge funds.

“With more than 25 years in the financial services industry, Rich brings a broad investment experience and deep sales background that will greatly complement our team’s efforts,” said Andrea Lisher, East team lead for Institutional Advisory Sales at J.P. Morgan Asset Management.

Gray has held a number of senior institutional roles during his career, including serving as director of North American Institutional Sales at John A. Levin & Company, and director of U.S. Institutional Sales for Goldman Sachs, where he was responsible for U.S. mid-market sales.
