ING Names Regional VP of Sales

ING’s U.S. Retirement business hired Dan Kretz as regional vice president of sales for the company’s small to midsize corporate retirement plan markets.  

Kretz will be responsible for the sales and distribution of 401(k) retirement plans to the independent channel in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia.

Before joining ING, Kretz was a sales director for MassMutual Retirement Services in intermediary-driven retirement plan sales.  He also worked at the Principal Financial Group for six years.

Pentegra Hires National Director

Pentegra Retirement Services appointed Pete D’Angio national director in nonprofit markets.

D’Angio will spearhead Pentegra’s efforts in establishing a presence in the small nonprofit Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) retirement plan market.  

“D’Angio brings more than 15 years of industry expertise to Pentegra, with a background that includes business development specific to the nonprofit markets,” said Pete Swisher, senior vice president, National Sales, Pentegra. “His experience in working with plan sponsors, as well as their financial advisers, along with his deep understanding of the regulatory requirements of not-for-profit plan sponsors, will be a tremendous asset to Pentegra.”

Before joining Pentegra, D’Angio was with TIAA-CREF, where he was southern regional sales director, responsible for business development in 17 states, and added over $100 million in new retirement plan business.

D’Angio is a certified financial planner (CFP) and a certified retirement plan specialist (CRPS).

He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Clemson University and a master’s in organizational behavior and management from the University of Colorado.
