Gallagher Benefit Services Rebrands Advisory Practice

Gallagher Benefit Services Inc. rebranded its institutional investment advisory practice as Gallagher Fiduciary Advisors, LLC (GFA).

Gallagher Benefit Services combined two firms—Yanni Partners and Independent Fiduciary Services (IFS)—to form GFA, a subsidiary of Gallagher Benefit Services Inc.

GFA will maintain its offices in Pittsburgh; Washington, D.C.; Baltimore; Newark, New Jersey; and Charlotte, North Carolina.

“Over the past year, we have successfully aligned our collective efforts with respect to investment research, portfolio structure, asset allocation modeling and manager due diligence, leveraging our consultants to better address our clients’ needs,” said Frank Domeisen, area president of GFA in Pittsburgh. “It has been very exciting to see the positive energy in the melding of the two firms.”

GFA has 59 investment professionals and staff—including 20 investment professionals with the Chartered Financial Analyst designation (CFAs), two with the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation (CAIAs), four attorneys with ERISA experience and one Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

 

Securian Launches Client Servicing Calendar

Securian Retirement introduced a Client Servicing Calendar for financial advisers looking for opportunities to prove their value to retirement plan sponsor clients.

The calendar offers advisers suggestions for providing service to plan sponsors and participants. It’s built around quarterly events, ensuring that adviser support will be both relevant and timely. It also includes links to the materials, tools and resources in Securian’s Shape practice management program including:

  •  Plan-servicing opportunities;
  •  Tips for cross selling;
  •  Prospecting tools; and
  •  Educational materials for plan sponsors and participants.
