Edward Jones Expands Retirement Plans With Nationwide, Voya Products

Clients will also gain access to a digital third-party administrator and a digital financial wellness platform.

Edward Jones & Co. announced on October 20 a partnership with Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. to expand its workplace retirement plan offerings to business owners starting in early 2026.

Nationwide, which has offered a suite of annuity, life insurance and securitiesbacked lending products through Edward Jones since 2021, will expand to retirement plans. Voya Financial Inc. will also offer its full suite of retirement plan tools and services to Edward Jones’ clients.

Edward Jones serves more than 28,000 vendor-held workplace retirement plans, the company reported. The new products will be offered through Edward Jones’ financial advisers.

The same agreement also gives Edward Jones’ clients access to Aboon, a digital third-party administrator for 401(k) plans, that also can help streamline retirement plan design, and Addition Wealth, a digital financial wellness platform that offers both human experts and artificial intelligence-powered personalization, according to Edward Jones’ announcement.

“For nearly a third of Americans, the workplace is where they have their first investment experience,” said Alyssa Harper, principal and head of Edward Jones’ workplace segment. “The investments Edward Jones is making … provide a tremendous opportunity to meet more people where they are at work.”

Edward Jones also announced its partnership with the St. Louis Small Business Empowerment Center and New Leaf Climate Partners on Main Street Initiative. The program will offer $30,000 grants to local business owners facing challenges accessing capital or saving for retirement.

As of June 27, Edward Jones reported having more than 9 million clients and $2.3 trillion in client assets under care.
