Capital Strategies Names Director of Investment Operations and Analysis

Jaime Mauppin has joined Capital Strategies Investment Group (CSIG) as Director of Investment Operations and Analysis.

In her new position, Mauppin will be responsible for expanding CSIG’s manager search and due diligence activities and directing day‐to‐day investment operations.

She comes to CSIG with a background in investments for both defined benefit and defined contribution plans.She was previously employed as an Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager with the Municipal Employees’ Retirement System (MERS) of Michigan.Her previous experience includes managing a fixed income portfolio and actively monitoring a $340 million real estate portfolio comprised of global REITs, private real estate, and timberland investments. Additionally, she created and managed a series of custom target‐date funds, including glide path design, external manager selection, and operational design, according to the announcement.

Mauppin will be based out of the firm’s Oak Brook, Illinois office.

JPMAM Adds to Fixed Income Team

J.P. Morgan Asset Management has hired Bob Fields as Executive Director and Client Portfolio Manager in the Tax Aware Fixed Income Group.

Fields will be responsible for West Coast sales and client relationship development across the wealth management channels of JPMAM’s fixed income business.    

According to the company, Fields previously served as Municipal Product Manager and Senior Vice President at PIMCO, where he was responsible for managing PIMCO’s municipal business.  Prior to joining PIMCO in 2001, Fields served as Head of Sales and Business Development and founding member of eBondTrade.com, an online municipal bond investment bank.

Prior to that, he worked in the fixed income division of Goldman Sachs & Co, where he spearheaded the firm’s West Coast municipal fixed income sales operations.
