Advisory Rebrands as Ameritas Investment Partners

Summit Investment Advisors Inc. has changed its name to Ameritas Investment Partners Inc. 

Ameritas Investment Partners remains a wholly owned subsidiary of Ameritas Mutual Holding Company. The new name means clients can look forward to benefiting from the reputation and nationwide reputation of the firms’ mutual organization, said Jim Mikus, president of Ameritas Investment Partners.

“With our new name our clients can look forward to benefiting from the respected reputation and nationwide recognition of our mutual organization. We look forward to continuing to provide value-added investment programs and services for all of our clients.” Mikus continued,

MassMutual Names Regional Sales Director

Mitch Flax has been appointed as regional sales director to the sales and client management organization of MassMutual's Retirement Services Division. 

Flax will partner with Andy Ambrose, MassMutual managing director, to support small-plan sales in Central Texas. He will be based in Austin, Texas, and report to Brian Robb, divisional vice president for MassMutual’s Retirement Services Division.

Before working at MassMutual, Flax was at Wells Fargo Advisors in Austin, where he was part of the retirement plan adviser program responsible for business development, education, sales presentations, vendor searches, fee negotiation and plan sponsor annual reviews. Flax holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) designation, as well as the FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
