Fidelity Names Leader of Stock Plan Services

 

Kevin Barry was named executive vice president of Fidelity Investments’ stock plan services business. 

 

 

Barry will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the stock plan services business, which provides stock plan administration services, representing $120 billion in grant value. It supports 230 employers nationwide and more than 1.5 million participants. Administration services are provided in five stock plan categories: restricted stock plans, stock option plans, stock appreciation plans, performance plans and employee stock purchase plans. Its services include recordkeeping, trade execution and financial reporting (e.g. regulatory and tax filings).

Barry has been with Fidelity since 2006 in a variety of senior-level financial management and strategic planning roles. Most recently, he was chief financial officer for Fidelity’s Workplace Investing business unit and was responsible for overseeing the financial management and controls of Fidelity’s defined contribution, defined benefit, stock plan administration and health savings business lines.

Before joining Fidelity, Barry worked for 12 years in consumer products as a vice president of finance at Gillette Company and Frito-Lay, a subsidiary of PepsiCo. He is a graduate of Harvard College and the Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College.

 

UBS Names Director to Consultant Relations Team

 

UBS Global Asset Management, a division of UBS AG, named Christine Schneider as executive director and consultant relations manager on its U.S. consultant relations team.

 

 

Schneider is responsible for managing and enhancing the company’s relationships with U.S. investment consultants on the West Coast. She reports to Anne Coupe, managing director and head of consultant relations, U.S.

Schneider joins UBS Global AM with 25 years of investment industry experience. In her most recent position at QS Investors LLC, Schneider was a member of the relationship management team with responsibility for global consultant relations. Previously, Schneider was at DB Advisors, where she managed relationships with Northeast consultants. Other positions she has held include product specialist for international and global equity strategies at Oppenheimer Capital, and International Economist at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corp.

Schneider holds a bachelor’s degree from Potsdam College, State University of New York, and a master’s of business administration in finance from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
