ING Investment Management Bulks Up DCIO Team

 

ING Investment Management U.S. has rounded out the firm’s defined contribution investment only (DCIO) business team with a number of recent hires.

 

Ron Dietrichjoined the firm’s marketing team as marketing program manager. In this newly created position, hewill be responsible for developing and managing DCIO “value-add” programs across channels. Dietrichhas more than 18 years of experience in the defined contribution (DC) market, most recently with AXA Equitable.

Paula Smith joined the firm in a new role as vice president and head of DCIO products, reporting to Andy Simonoff, senior vice president and head of product management. Smith’s arena is developing and leading the firm’s DCIO product strategy. Previously, Smith was at Columbia Management as vice president, retirement plans.

Christine Stokes joined the firm as senior retirement product manager. Stokes, whose responsibility is developing, managing and supporting retirement products, was previously at Alliance Bernstein, where she most recently worked as vice president and partner relationship officer on target-date strategies within institutional retirement plans.

 

Great-West Promotes McLeod to SVP of Product Management

Dave McLeod was promoted to senior vice president of product management at Great-West Life and Annuity Insurance Co.

 

McLeod will provide leadership for the company’s recently integrated product management efforts. He will continue as managing director for Great-West subsidiary Advised Assets Group LLC, a registered investment adviser. He also takes on new responsibilities as managing director for the Great-West subsidiaries Maxim Series Fund Inc. and GW Capital Management LLC.

McLeod spent the previous five years as managing director of AAG. Since joining Great-West in 1985, he has held several leadership positions, including vice president, investment operations and controller/treasurer of Maxim.

McLeod is a business graduate of the University of Manitoba. He holds an NASD Series 65 license and a Certified Management Accountant designation.
