Asset International Acquires 529 College Savings Conference

Asset International Inc. agreed to acquire Savingforcollege.com’s 529 Conference and Boot Camp from JFH Innovative LLC.

The annual 529 Conference and Boot Camp, a 529 college savings industry event, is designed for professionals involved in the space, including state agencies, 529 program managers, industry regulators, investment advisers and asset managers.

The 529 Conference and Boot Camp will become a part of Financial Research Corporation (FRC), AI’s Boston-based provider of research in the asset management space with a particular focus on 529 industry research. The 2012 event will be co-located with AI’s PLANADVISER National Conference in order to expand the 529 plan discussion in the adviser space.

Jospeh Hurley, founder of Savingforcollege.com and CEO of JFH Innovative, will continue to play an active role in the conference.

“The 529 Conference and Bootcamp allows us to expand our services in the 529 space beyond the research we currently provide through FRC,” said Jim Casella, CEO at Asset International. “Additionally, the markets we serve through our PLANADVISER and PLANSPONSOR brands will help introduce the conference to new audiences critical to the college savings marketplace.”

Asset International is planning for the 2013 529 Conference and Boot Camp, and it will be held September 9 to September 11, 2013, at the J.W. Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes, co-located with AI’s PLANADVISER National Conference. Details of the event can be found at www.529conference2013.com.
