ING Appoints Castner for NYC Sales Post

Craig Castner joined ING U.S. Retirement Services as the wirehouse regional vice president covering New York City.

A news release said Castner will oversee all wirehouse relationships in the territory and continue to expand ING’s small and mid market 401(k) plan sales through financial advisers in this channel.  Castner’s appointment is effective November 1.

Castner spent the last 10 years at ADP, most recently as that firm’s eastern regional 401(k) sales leader where he managed a team of 16 representatives.

Castner will report to Pat Bello, who heads up the northeast region for ING’s Intermediary Corporate Markets Distribution team. 

Transamerica Hires Central Region Retirement Sales Leader

Transamerica Retirement Services announced the hiring of Daniel Long as division vice president in the company’s central region.

In this role, Long will oversee all sales activities for the region.  He replaces Jason Crane, who was promoted to senior vice president and national sales director in August 2010.  Long will be based in Chicago and will report to Crane.

According to the announcement, Long has an extensive background in national and regional retirement sales and new business development.  He joins Transamerica from RSM McGladrey, Inc., where he served as the national director of sales, Human Capital Services.    

Long received his bachelor of science in business management from Cornell University and his MBA from Northwestern University.
