Transamerica Hires Jason Frain to Lead Retirement Solutions

Jason Frain joined Transamerica as head of retirement solutions, leading product strategy and development. He is reporting to Jamie Ohl, president of protection solutions and savings and investments.

“Jason is a proven product leader who blends actuarial rigor with commercial instincts,” said Ohl, in a statement. “His track record shaping retirement and annuity products—while keeping customer needs and risk discipline front and center—will accelerate our momentum as we build the leading middlemarket life insurance and retirement company.”

Frain previously held senior roles in product development, pricing and strategy, most recently at Brighthouse Financial. He is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and earned a BSBA in actuarial science from the University of Hartford.
