Practice Benchmarking Survey

Methodology: From July 13 through August 1, approximately 8,400 retirement plan advisers from PLANADVISER’s database were asked to respond to a 42-question survey, developed by the PLANADVISER editorial and research teams. By the close of the survey, 629 responses had been received from qualified plan advisers. In exchange for their participation, adviser respondents were sent a complimentary Plan Benchmarking Report from PLANSPONSOR. The questions in the survey pertained to the size and scope of advisers’ qualified plan business, practice management, compensation, client services and assessments of defined contribution (DC) providers and investment managers.
