ProShares Launches Daily 3x and -3x ETFs
ProFunds Group has launched eight new ProShares exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

A pair of ETFs, one with a daily 3x objective and one with a daily -3x objective (before fees and expenses), is being launched on each of the following indexes: the NASDAQ-100®, Dow Jones Industrial Average, S&P MidCap 400 and Russell 2000, according to an announcement. Three of the pairs listed on NYSE Arca and one on The NASDAQ Stock Market.
The announcement said ProShares previously launched ETFs offering daily 3x and -3x exposure to the S&P 500 in 2009.
The new 3x UltraPro ProShares include:
- UltraPro QQQ (TQQQ), index NASDAQ-100, exchange NASDAQ;
- UltraPro Dow 30 (UDOW), index Dow Jones Industrial Average, exchange NYSE Arca;
- UltraPro MidCap400 (UMDD), index S&P MidCap 400, exchange NYSE Arca; and
- UltraPro Russell2000 (URTY), index Russell 2000, exchange NYSE Arca.
The new -3x UltraPro ProShares include the UltraPro Short QQQ (SQQQ), UltraPro Short Dow 30 (SDOW), UltraPro Short MidCap400 (SMDD), and UltraPro Short Russell2000 (SRTY), all with the same indexes and on the same exchanges as their +3x counterparts.
