Sixteen new iShares exchange traded funds (ETFs) have transferred listings to the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) from the American Stock Exchange, completing a previously announced deal.

The transfer of the Barclays iShares ETFs to the NYSE brings the number of primary ETF listings to 165.

“NYSE Group has assumed a leadership position in the growing ETF space, fulfilling a goal we identified as an essential component of our multi-asset growth strategy,” said senior vice president Lisa Dallmer, in a statement.
