Eaton Vance Launches Tax Web Site for Advisers

Eaton Vance said it expanded its Web site to include education for advisers about the effect of taxes on investment returns.

According to a press release, the new Eaton Vance Tax Center offers the Wall Street and the 2008 Elections program designed specifically to help advisers address the investment and tax issues likely to be in the spotlight as the political campaign unfolds.

The company said the site will soon offer additional solutions to common investor tax challenges, along with links to educational information about the impact of taxes on investment returns from industry sources such as Lipper, Inc., and the Investment Company Institute (ICI).

The site will include a tax equivalent yield calculator and offer investment strategies to consider in a changing tax environment, according to the release. Also coming soon will be a comparison of the tax proposals of the presidential candidates.

The company recently released the results of a survey about how American investors feel about taxes (see Investors with Advisers Choose Tax-Managed Funds).
