Dimensional Fund Advisors to Launch Retirement Share Classes

Institutional investment manager Dimensional Fund Advisors will launch two retirement share classes for defined contribution plans.

The retirement share, or R share, classes pay a fee to parties who provide services to plans and their participants, according to a news release. Dimensional’s R shares contain no 12b-1 or distribution fees.

The share classes will carry 10 basis point and 25 basis point fees. The fees will be used to pay for services such as recordkeeping, the announcement said.
