2025 Vision Award
Retirement Advisor Council and Jamie Greenleaf are the winners of this year's PLANADVISER Vision Award.
There have been tremendous changes and advancements in the retirement plan industry in recent years, often inspired and driven by visionaries and leaders in the field. No single firm or individual can take credit for the industry’s progress, but it is clear that the work of key leaders and change-makers has played a major role in shaping the retirement plan industry of today. The PLANADVISER Vision Awards celebrate those industry leaders who have propelled positive outcomes.
This year, we are pleased to recognize the Retirement Advisor Council with our organizational Vision Award and Jamie Greenleaf with our individual recognition.
VISION WINNER
Retirement Advisor Council
Founded in 2009, the Retirement Advisor Council is a national organization that advocates for successful qualified plan and participant retirement outcomes through the collaborative efforts of entities across the retirement plan industry, including individual retirement plan advisers, registered investment advisers, broker/dealers, asset managers and service providers. Building a sense of community, the advisers on the council include widely recognized leaders from across the country and from a range of firms.
The brainchild of Eric Henon, RAC works to support retirement plan advisers as they differentiate themselves from the overall adviser community by specifically focusing on:
- Identifying duties, responsibilities and attributes of the professional retirement plan adviser;
- Sharing professional standards with plan sponsors, which are responsible for the success of their plans;
- Providing collective thought capital to decisionmakers, product providers, legislators and the public; and
- Giving voice to the retirement plan adviser community.
RAC’s work spans a wide range of initiatives and topics. It aids in research initiatives, along with presenting viewpoints and case studies. It facilitates networking, hosts meetings, plus offers tools, resources, and, for members, public relations and promotional support.
A notable more recent initiative by RAC is the launch of FinLitFuture$, a collaborative program aimed at providing access to financial education within communities. This initiative reflects the organization’s commitment to the financial wellness of Americans and its vision for a future where everyone has the knowledge and opportunity to achieve financial independence and security.
Through its advocacy, research and educational initiatives, the Retirement Advisor Council continues to play a vital role in shaping the future of the retirement plan adviser community, making it a deserving recipient of the 2025 PLANADVISER Vision Award.
VISION WINNER
Jamie Greenleaf
Jamie Greenleaf is a recognized expert in the retirement plan advisory field—as a long-time adviser to employers and now as an entrepreneur helping support even more fiduciaries.
She began her career as an adviser, dedicating herself to serving companies in managing their retirement programs. She offered consulting services encompassing plan design, fees and services benchmarking, investment management selection and monitoring, fiduciary and regulatory compliance, investment policy design, and financial education to numerous Fortune 500 companies, nonprofit entities and public agencies. She spent time at UBS Financial, Prudential Securities and OneDigital. Active in the industry, she spoke at conferences, educating plan advisers and plan sponsors.
After the passage of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, and due to the changes it required in managing health care plans, Jamie founded Fiduciary In A Box, a SaaS [software as a service] platform aimed at simplifying fiduciary compliance for health and retirement plans. Taking what she knew and had learned about fiduciary responsibility from her tenure on the retirement plan side, she embarked on a mission to educate both advisers and plan sponsors about the importance of understanding the regulations and properly executing the duties those demand. She recently received the Marshall Allen Legacy Award for her contributions to fiduciary education and health care reform.
Her extensive and unparalleled knowledge, expertise and passion for the industry and the importance of fiduciary responsibility have made her a deserving recipient of the 2025 PLANADVISER Vision Award.
