DailyAccess Brings on Gosnell for Operations Post

Mobile, Alabama-based DailyAccess Corporation has named Michelle Gosnell as senior vice president of Operations.

A news release said Gosnell, in the newly created role, will be responsible for the company’s recordkeeping, administration, daily operations, compliance and consulting services.

Gosnell has more than 21 years’ experience in the retirement industry, including the management of retirement plan services, trust accounting and disclosure, and Employee Retirement Income Security Act compliance, according to the release. She previously served as senior vice president and trust officer at Regions Financial Corporation, where she directed the Institutional Trust Services Recordkeeping Division.

“We welcome Michelle’s comprehensive management experience and technical expertise,” said Tommy Thomasson, DailyAccess president and CEO, in the news release. “She will be wholly responsible for client satisfaction and retention, and we have no doubt she will be a great addition to our management team.”

Gosnell will report to Gregg Wood, chief operating officer.

MetLife Releases Retirement, Encore Careers Guide

The MetLife Mature Market Institute released a workbook with a DVD containing assessment tools, information, and resources to help those contemplating whether to retire and how to move on to encore careers.

The workbook is also useful for those adapting to the economic downturn, but is designed for individuals contemplating the next phases of their lives with information on how to find purpose and direction, according to a MetLife press release. The workbook is available free to the public.

MetLife said the workbook includes worksheets and a series of questions relating to lifestyle, environment, health status, finances, relationships, and community.

Specifically, the workbook and DVD provide exercises that focus on:
