ERISApedia to join AmericanTCS business; EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants expands law firm group; Wagner Law Group adds to LA office; and more.

ERISApedia to Join AmericanTCS Business

EdgeCo Holdings LP, a provider of solutions for financial intermediaries and their clients, announced that it has acquired ERISApedia, which will become part of its AmericanTCS Holdings, LLC business unit. The acquisition includes acquiring all of ERISApedia’s product offerings, which provide compliance and prospecting services to plan sponsors, third-party administrators and retirement advisers.

ERISApedia’s operations will be integrated into the product solutions offered by AmericanTCS’s PensionPro, EdgeCo said.

EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants Expands Law Firm Group

EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants, added Noreen Calisto, Esq., as senior vice president within its EPIC Law Firm Group. Based in New York, Calisto will report to Rob Herchert, managing principal of the group, and will support law firm clients with specialized insurance and risk management solutions.

With decades of experience, Calisto brings knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and insurance solutions, including professional liability, cyber, and management liability. She joins the team after the firm welcomed Dan Knise and Eileen Garczynski, Esq., experienced attorneys in legal risk and insurance in January.

The Wagner Law Group Adds Zoe Moskowitz to LA Office

The Wagner Law Group has added Zoe Moskowitz as a partner in its Los Angeles office. Moskowitz brings more than 20 years of experience advising pension and welfare benefit plans, particularly multiemployer plans. Her legal expertise spans Employee Retirement Income Security Act compliance, plan administration, fiduciary obligations and federal benefit regulations. 

Her experience includes representing clients under audit by the Department of Labor and the IRS. Her previous roles include working as a clerk for the chief judge of the Connecticut Appellate Court.

Curtis Glovier Named Chief Investment Officer at Star Mountain Capital

Star Mountain Capital has promoted Curtis Glovier to chief investment officer. Glovier, who has worked closely with the firm for more than five years—most recently as strategic investment and portfolio officer—brings more than 30 years of experience across private credit, private equity, secondaries, investment banking and consulting.

Prior to Star Mountain, Glovier held executive roles at Opus Bank and PENSCO Trust Co. and was a managing director at Fortress Investment Group. He began his career at the Boston Consulting Group and Goldman Sachs. In his new role, Glovier will lead Star Mountain’s investment strategy focused on delivering alpha through investing in lower-middle-market private businesses. 

Transamerica Appoints Ryan Parker as Head of Life Distribution

Transamerica Corp. announced the appointment of Ryan Parker as head of life distribution, effective June 9. Parker is responsible for overseeing the distribution strategy for the company’s life insurance business, which supports tens of thousands of agents nationwide.

Parker brings more than two decades of experience in the life insurance industry, most recently serving as senior vice president of life distribution at F&G. 

“Ryan is the right leader at the right time,” said Rob Carney, chief distribution officer for life, annuities and mutual funds at Transamerica. “His ability to energize distribution teams and focus on customer needs makes him a strong fit to lead our life distribution business forward.”

Parker succeeds Wendy Boyd, who now serves as chief distribution officer at World Financial Group, a Transamerica subsidiary.
