Upcoming IRS Employee Plans Compliance Unit Webcasts
IRS is hosting a free webcast August 25 about the ongoing
efforts of its Employee Plans Compliance Unit.
Reported by John Manganaro
The Internal Revenue Service is hosting an update webcast about its Employee Plans Compliance Unit (EPCU), covering 2016 updates and the organization’s forward-looking agenda.
Register for this event here. The same link will be used to take part in the webcast, the IRS says. Attendees will learn about EPCU compliance checks; the difference between compliance checks and audits; responding to compliance check letters; recent project results; and using project results to review plan features.
IRS notes that continuing education certificates of attendance won’t be offered for this program. Visit the EPCU webpage for additional details and other resources and data analysis on common areas of non-compliance.
